The Crisis Center of Tampa Bay provides medical services and counseling to deal with the trauma of sexual assault, child abuse, domestic violence, financial distress and suicide prevention. The Crisis Center provides free services to anyone dealing with these issues 24 hours a day, 365 days a year by dialing 2-1-1 on your phone or visiting Crisis Center of Tampa Bay online. Even if you aren’t in the Tampa Bay area, dialing 2-1-1 will connect you to a crisis center in your region of the US.

The topics and situations that the Crisis Center of Tampa Bay helps with are things a lot of people don’t have the strength to seek help for. Specialized trauma counseling and therapy is available for children, adults and families who have experienced abuse, domestic violence, recent loss of a loved one or any type of emotional trauma. Victims of sexual assault can find safety in the Crisis Center of Tampa Bay through advocacy, counseling and forensic examinations. Calling a crisis center shouldn’t be a last resort. Especially with issues like suicide prevention, it’s proven that suicide can be stopped simply by connecting people with one another. 

Financial hardships are hitting people and families more now than ever and the Crisis Center can help. The Crisis Center of Tampa Bay is launching a new project called Every Cent Counts. The website is still under construction, but they have huge expectations for this project and its ability to help hundreds of people in need in the Tampa Bay area. You’ll be able to read real stories of real people and contribute directly to a need or fund it completely and 100% of the donations will go directly to those in need. The idea behind the name “Every Cent Counts” is that contributions of any size can make a huge difference.
