For the past few months we’ve had the pleasure of using some camera equipment from Manfrotto. Who is Manfrotto? Manfrotto designs, manufactures and markets a wide range of camera and lighting equipment for the professional photographic, film, theater, live entertainment and video markets. Here are some of the products we’ve been using and are showcasing today:

MKC3-H01 Compact Photo/Video Tripod - As far as compact tripods go, the H01 is light (2.54 lbs), compact, easy to use and incredibly versatile. With a unique photo-movie switch, you can jump back and forth between two settings to help you better shoot photos or a wider range of movement for video. At $67, it’s a steal!

MKC3-P01 Compact Ball head Kit - The P01 is similar to the H01 except it folds up nearly 3” smaller (15” total length) and weighs in at 2.2 lbs. Because we’re always on the go, this aluminium tripod with quick release legs is a great choice. You may not want to put your heavy cameras on it, but it can work with any handheld unit and also sells for $67.

MK394-H Photo/Movie Kit - This is the tripod that Jason has been using and it’s perfect for DSLR cameras. It’s not too heavy at 3.68 lbs, has a maximum height of 59” and can fold down to just 20”. The photo/video head is designed well for precise video movements and at $112 it’s extremely affordable.

MB SB390-5BB Veloce V Backpack - Available in 3 colors, the Veloce V Backpack is stylish, discreet and protects your expensive camera equipment without advertising it. With unique rear access, the contents of the backpack are secure against your body to prevent theft. What can you fit in it? A 15” laptop, a DSLR camera with a 70-200mm or similar lens attached plus room for 2-3 extra lenses, flash and accessories (LED, cards, cables etc). There are outer straps to attach a tripod and the backpack is water resistant. Pick one up for $109.99.
